Cecilia started sewing as a girl to make new fashions for her Barbies. She comes from a long line of quilters, including both her mother and great grandmother.
An Iowan at heart, Cecilia and her husband Doug moved across the country to California (the land of the fruits and nuts) in the 1970s as newlyweds. They made their home in Huntington Beach and raised three children, Tim, Adrianna and Patrick.
Cecilia is an active member of the Orange Grove Quilters Guild and Flying Geese Quilt Guild.
After her husband retired from the Aerospace industry in 2007, Cecilia was about to go bonkers so decided to fulfill her lifetime dream of having a longarm business.
Longarm quilting allows her to work from home where she can still care for her youngest son, Patrick, who has Down Syndrome. It also enables her to enjoy quilting without having to keep making quilt tops...just so she can quilt them!
Now she has 3 Grandsons
and a Granddaughter to make quilts for!!
